Who doesn't love Peanuts cartoons? This collection is no exception and is, in fact, even better than reading them one day at a time. It's a retrospect published by Hallmark which had -- and I didn't realize this -- an ongoing relationship with Charles Schultz for decades. All Christmas themed cartoons, it has some from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. One can see certain changes in the characters appearances (especially between the 50s and 60s) but their personalities never change. It's an inspirational book because Peanuts' creator was a thoughtful, spiritual guy -- with an uncanny grasp of human nature, including the precious minds and hearts of children. I was delighted to find this Treasury still available in new condition and bought one for myself, one for my sister and one for a dear friend who had, the week before, shared some classic Peanuts cartoons with me by email. One night I woke up in the middle of the night -- probably a bad dream as I just knew I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep. Whatever the trouble was, 20 minutes of reading and laughing at these cartoons soothed me entirely and I went happily back to sleep for the rest of the night. Buy it new or buy it used, this book is just wonderful!Read full review
