Silver, Wood & Ivory: A Biography of a Harmonious Friendship Captivating. Exquisite. Timeless. Silver, Wood & Ivory (SWI) listeners experience the soulful flute and piano collections that gifted musicians and close friends Tracy Dietrich and Cindy Keller Wittenberg perform. Moments after the first note, this musical duo transports listeners to a magical place far from the rigors of daily life. Silver, Wood & Ivory's sparkling combination of the Silver and Wood flutes and recorders, and the Ivory of the keyboard, is pure listening pleasure. Each arrangement and original composition is custom and tastefully handcrafted by Cindy and Tracy to highlight the beauty, perfect blends, and individual character of each of these lovely instruments. Together, these dynamic performers expertly maximize this beauty and the contrasting elements of their silver, wood and ivory instruments to surround listeners with melodies that will "soothe your soul and calm your spirit." Cindy also performs a variety of piano solos with elegance and expression. Tracy's magnificent collection of woodwind instruments includes standard silver and wooden flutes, alto flute, bass flute, piccolo, soprano recorder, alto recorder, tenor recorder, pan flute, pennywhistles, ocarinas (cicada bug and ceramic donut), three Native American flutes, and the incredible 6 ½ foot high contrabass flute! Cindy and Tracy live in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Both are professional musicians with performance degrees. Cindy earned her degrees from Elizabethtown College, PA and Peabody Conservatory, MD. Tracy holds her degree from Indiana University, PA. Ever since meeting at their church in 1999, they have been performing, traveling, and recording together as Silver, Wood, & Ivory! The vision of Silver, Wood & Ivory is to inspire and enthrall audiences with their exquisite music. They strive to touch as many listeners as possible, having traveled throughout the eastern United States performing for upscale art and gift show enthusiasts as well as many music-loving audiences, with over 250 performances during the past five years. Highlights of past seasons include appearances on QVC, featured performances at ECRM International Trade Show in Pittsburgh, PA, Mid-Atlantic Home and Garden Show, Sunfest and Springfest in Ocean City, MD, and Pennsylvania Christmas and Gift Show in Harrisburg, PA. The SWI pair has recorded seven flute and piano CDs: Wander In, Reflections, Broadway Our Way, Autumn Air, Christmas with Silver, Wood & Ivory, Trim the Tree and their newest release, 'Tis the Season. In celebration of the 2006 Christmas season, SWI performed a Christmas Holiday Extravaganza Concert, presenting timeless classics, well-known sacred selections, and their own musical renderings for an auditorium-packed audience of over one thousand music lovers. This resulted in the creation of a breathtakingly beautiful DVD for fans to play and replay during the Christmas holiday seasons for years to come! Cindy and Tracy have partnered with Soyroma Lotion Candle to combine delicately- scented massage/body lotion with the soothing and relaxing music of Silver, Wood & Ivory CDs. These spa-in-a-box gifts called The Mind Collection, The Body Collection, and The Spirit Collection, are available on their merchandise page. Silver, Wood & Ivory can be heard on Public Radio in Connecticut, Vermont, and Pennsylvania. Their six CDs continue to be sold through over 45 digital download companies, including iTunes, where their music is touching hearts all over the world.
