Have many books of the Civil War and President Abraham Lincoln and find this one of the best. The binding is perfect, the printed pages are thick and the content is awesome. Had a copy of this book, in moving it got water damaged. Went to ebay hoping to find another copy. Persistence paid off as found two copies at great price and bought both so now have backup copy. This is a wonderful book to own and to enjoy.

If you want to know what WAR looks like, buy this book. . Where they got so many pictures from that era I do not know. I think it was one of my best book buys ever.

Well organized and great photos, but poor index. It is hard to find photos by name, but it is well bound and a Time Life edition
