Lovely book with wonderful party suggestions and yummy recipes. Beautiful pictures and great quotes from classic, timeless tales in literature (such as Black Beauty and Little Women). This book is a blessing to a little girl who enjoys tea parties and to her mom, grandmother, aunt, etc., who wants to show her the timeless grace and beauty of gathering and enjoying time with a friend. I'm glad I purchased this and can't wait to make some of the fun games, or wonderful recipes and crafts; including cucumber tea sandwiches, raspberry tea, piano key sandwiches, forget-me-not napkin rings, garden placemats, or teatime memory teaser.

It is exactly what I was looking for. I have 4 daughters ranging in age from 4 years to 15 years old. The book has great ideas that can be altered for any age. It also sparks ideas for new "tea parties". It really is a great book. My daughters enjoy looking at and reading it also. We have lost the art of "Being a Lady" and this book helps us to help our daughter be just that!
I bought it because my mother is from England where there are very formal tea parties. Our boy is grown and gone, but I hope one day to maybe have a granddaughter who I can share this book with and have some little formal tea parties to pass onto the next generation. I have purchased several small tea sets for this book to go with. That is the plan. If we don't have a granddaughter one day, I will pass the tradition onto a great niece.
Both are such sweet little books to read with a little girl 3
