Finally, Hellyeah finds their groove. Their first two albums were decent but still kinda hokey and gimmick-y, but now with "Band of Brothers," this heavy metal melting pot shows the world that they're much more mountain than molehill. Some may say that it's a bit too similar to Pantera's gritty, Southern-friend brand of groove metal, and they are right ("Drink Drank Drunk" has Dimebag written all over it). Of course, Vinnie Paul is in Hellyeah, so there will always be some similarity, but Hellyeah modernizes the Pantera redneck-metal swagger with a bit more melody and Chad Gray's voice brings a vicious intensity that is more scream than snarl. This is raucous party metal meant to blared at full volume at a biker gang rager, and Hellyeah isn't trying to mint a new metal coin. They've just found what works for them, and honestly, I'm glad they've stepped up to give groove metal the respect it deserves.Read full review

Hello, heard from some friends that it was gonna be a heavier album and wanted to try it out and it definitely is. This sounds more like Pantera meets Mudvayne, much heavier than there previous albums, and still very good. There are a couple of songs that are more radio friendly, but if you want that in your face sound this is worth trying.
