The Da Vinci code (2006) Gosh was this movie lame!!! Highly dissapointing! I came into this movie with an open mind and tried to leave everything at the door. Everybody I had talked to said the book was amazing, and the movie was just as good. I was extremely shocked when halfway through the movie I thought to myself "Another supposed Hollywood blockbuster that stinks" I know that my views on this movie will upset all the Da Vinci code faithful, and I don't expect to get any helpfuness votes out of this review, but I really need to voice my opinion. The previews for this movie make you believe that this movie will turn water into wine, when all it does is turn water into... well... water. The movie could be summed up in 3 scenes, but they drag it on for over 2 hours... a 2 hour snore fest. Final Verdict: 2/5 Rent or Buy: I'm not taking anything away from this movie, because I know a lot of people absolutely loved it, but I feel that an equal amount fo people hated it, and their opinions aren't heard. My only recommendation for this film is that you RENT IT before you BUY IT, just in case you are in the 50% of people who dislike The Da Vinci Code. Please vote if you fell this review was helpful. A reasonably good attempt to bring out a long standing catholic policy to subjugate female roles in Christianity. I regret that they did not go as far as they should in bringing out the truth. too often they bent some aspects to fit the story when the should have dug deeper and stayed with truth even if not provable.

I give this a good, only because Tom Hanks is always better than good, and the cast was very good otherwise also...instead of an "average". While there are ways the book might have been improved upon, this script changed some things and not in the best way, as one might expect from Hollywood..It placed emphasis on some plot elements at the expense of others that I felt were more important to the story...It started well, but the climax was botched...Could explain this further but I don't want to give away the plot (though most people know it)
Very interesting flick as it try to clarify and shed some light in the personal life of Jesus. Even though these are only speculations, and not a reality, it makes you wonder. I like the idea that the blood line of Jesus could be trace to today modern times. Also, the movie portrait that Jesus indeed got married and had a family. Another interesting point is that christian church was supposed to be founded under a woman instead of Saint Peter as we all actually know. A lot of suspence, in top of a lot of talking. Highly reccomended.
What can I said... I bought the movie because my son Love it, but I don't think is anything true about the contain of the movie. I had read the Bible with my mother.... I never knew the Jesus fall in Love with Mary Magdalene, that's not in the Bible..... The movie is great Tom Hanks is a wonderful actor he make a wonderful rule in the movie... I Also think this kind the movies confused young people like my Son, but I explain to my boy ..... I love the movie too but I don't like .....
