It really works and delays tarnishing. It has not hurt any of my gemstones and it gets a great shine. If your item has filigree or alot of fine detail you will need a semi-firm soft bristle brush to get into the crevices to remove the product and buff up the shine. I want this in gold - if they make it!!!

Tried two different pieces of silverplate both from around 1910.....while It polished that areas with no plating loss it did nothing for the areas that needed the attention. I went over it several times and provided more than enough elbow grease to get the friction going. repeated, repeated, repeated.......nothing Now, maybe it will work on copper as some have had success but I struck out. The picture is after 5 applications.

This is fine as a silver polish. It turns the cloth black, removes the tarnish, and makes the silver shiny - just as all sliver polishes do. I saw no indication that it was applying more silver to the items, though, and that was the only reason to pay this much more for a silver polish.

I find it to be an excellent silver polish, Not plating! I buffed with an electric buffer. I did see a little plating on one necklace but all in all a good product

Not the same stuff I used 20 years ago. This is MUCH BETTER. Plating on clean metal was almost instantaneous. I use this to plate copper, brass and bronze sheet metal jewelry. Great for small projects. Should have bought the two-bottle package.
