The Ganz Webkinz German Shepherd is a favorites of my collection. At this point it is retired. Even though it is not yet difficult to find, I wanted to make sure that I got one. I am very pleased that I made this purchase because this is one Webkinz character that feels to be of the highest quality. It is well made, the material feels very nice, and I believe that it will remain in great condition as part of a collection or an actual toy that your kid runs around with! This is also one of the characters that will make boys happy to be a part of the Webkinz world. Comes with a nice 'Patrol Car' as its free virtual online gift. Webkinz is great for kids in terms of improving computer skills. The Webkinz site has given my daughter an excellent opportunity to learn about navigating within a typical software environment; very engaging and not hard to encourage the child to learn these skills on there on. As well, I have checked out everything about the Webkinz World environment, to the point that I have a couple of characters of my on. After investigating every aspect of the interactive website, I believe that Ganz has made every effort to make this as safe as it could possibly be in terms of protecting your child from inappropriate language, solicitations, etc. This is a great educational system for your child, and the German Shepherd is a great choice for getting involved in the Webkinz world, or for any Webkinz collection.Read full review
The Webkinz German Shepherd is retired right now, and it took me a while to get one. Both boys and girls like this one because it is really soft and I like the quality construction. The only reason I rated it "Good" instead of "Excellent" is that the design of the dark coloration around the eyes seems a little odd to me and my girls (10 and 12) and can give the dog a curious expression. The girls were a bit put off when they first saw one squished down from shipping, so I play with the fur around the eyes a bit before giving the dog to kids. Like other Webkinz if you get a new one with Tags your child can not only play with the stuffed toy in the "real" world but also go online and enter the code in the kid-safe Webkinz world where they learn computer skills for games and adventures and math skills as they track points. Each Webkinz or Li'l Kinz new with a code comes with a special online prize which for the German Shepherd is a patrol car. eat for kids in terms of improving computer skills. Ganz makes this site as safe as it can possibly be making it a fun and learning experience. Children also often learn real world entreprenurial skills so they can earn their own money to buy Webkinz for their collection.Read full review

I am a 47 year old woman, who owns a German Shepherd. She just turned a year old, so she's still a puppy, and such a comedian! She adores me, as I do her, and when we're together we are simply inseperable! I had been looking for the signature German Shepherd by webkinz, and obviously at my age, I was NOT interested in the little tags that come along with it to play the computer game. That being said, the stuffed animal that Webkinz came out with is EXTREMELY lifelike looking, and looks so much like my girl Fiona, that I had to have one! However, they have been discontinued for quite a while, so the chances of my finding one were slim to none. Until I started looking on ebay and found this one! It is amazingly lifelike and I keep it on my bed and sleep with it; this is much better than having Fiona in bed, as she is about 70 lbs and I know would hog up the whole bed, just trying to get closer to me. Thank you Webkinz for coming out with such realistic looking stuffed animals!Read full review
Webkinz are terribly over priced for a stuffed animal, but kids absolutely love them. To my niece who is almost 10 now, they aren't just toys, they are her collection. Just like I would collect coins, she collects the Webkinz. So to her they are not over priced at all. *Then again she isn't paying for them lol* She loves open her codes and going online, and she freaks out when someone has one in the Webkinz world that she does not. She now has over 30 of them, and believes she is top dog. It's her favorite online game that comes with sleep buddies. Though a bit over priced, I would rate the webkinz Excellent just for the fact that they have supply and demand down, and the children adore the competition.
