Press On is a wonderful read. If you're a Yeager fan or admirer, IT'S A MUST. But you will also relate to the stories in its pages if you have done a lot of hunting, fishing, or wrenching on cars or any other mechanical device. Even bird lovers will enjoy the section about a young quail (which he named TDB) that Yeager rescued and helped raise after a hawk took its mother when the baby bird was still tiny. Other Voices also offer great insights into the General's values and thought processes. Other Voices in the book include those of Chuck's wife, Glennis, and his best friend, Bud Anderson. All together, the book -- like the general himself -- is a marvelous piece of work. I highly recommend Press On to everyone, especially those who grew up in a rural area or served in the military.

I had a copy some years ago and decided to renew my acquantence with this book. A good follow on to General Yeager's first book, this one spends more time on his life and adventures away from aviation. As an aviation enthusiast, this is a bit of a minus but overall it's still an interesting book, told in a light, sometimes humorous style. As General Yeager is in his 80s now, it would be nice to have one more follow up from him while it's still possible.
This is a book I purchased for my husband. He had read another book about Chuck Yeager and he absolutely enjoyed reading it. He said anyone that enjoys outdoors would really enjoy reading this book. Chuck Yeager is quite and outdoorsman. These are the kind of books you just love to read to see how other people lived.

An outstanding read! Yeager, the first man to break the sound barrier in level flight, can certainly spin a yarn about his time in the Air Force, and the skills to fly, fight, and win. This famous "Ace in a Day"'s book is required reading for any pilot, and deserves a place of honor on one's book shelf.
