It shares his childhood and then as he grows into a husband (of Donna Reed) and a father. He helps so many people in his life, but when his savings and loan company has trouble meeting ends, he has second thoughts about his life. With the help of an angel named Clarence,played by Lineol Barrymore, who is working for his wings, he re-examines his life . He realizes how he has made an impact in lives without even knowing it. It will bring a tear to your eye and a lump in your throat. This dvd version also contains behind-the-scenes and an interview with director Frank Capra. What a CLASSIC ! It just doesn't feel like Christmas Eve without this movie which I have watched on Christmas Eve since I was a small child. For some strange reason they quit playing this wonderful movie quite some time ago. Yes, there's A Christmas Story, Miracle on 34th Street, Etc, ... But, "NONE" will "EVER" compare to "It's A Wonderful Life". A movie through the ages for the entire family to watch together!
