Played one 40 yr ago was looking for o replacement for Gibson blueridge , best luthier around asked what I wanted I said I played a dove that was 14 yrs old it sounded like a millon bucks he said hows this blueridge sound ? I said okay /he replied I can take this apart down to last piece reassy but it will never sound any better that factory .get a dove keep it in good place and ill sound like a million , I found one $1,100 $ and was moving left it in a place ...heat went out , saddle came uo from soundboard, sent to Gibson ,,,the put a larger saddle on when I played it it was like a mother looking at a child that was NOT hers ! it didn't sound like my ol dove ,,,sisne then a great luthier said hang it on the wall it s over ........ If you buy this one please take her into a controlled enviorment ,,I took such good care ofmine and one night was like taking a hammer to her !!!!!!! countless folks had heard mine and marveled at the sound asking what I had done to make it sound so good ,,,,,,NOTHING it came that way ,,,,,,,,rip my ol doveRead full review

The Dove is a eally lovely instrument. In the vintage version, I purchased, I find it has fantastic tone and playability.
