Elliott Smith could have easily been the greates singer/songwriter of our time. Knowing that this is his debut solo album and he recorded it all himself on his friends four track recorder makes it even more of an experiance. My personal favorite track is Drive All Over Town.
Elliott Smith was an artist but I often find his music a little overrated. Not sure what causes people to insist that he was the greatest musician of all time. These songs are excellent but not brilliant. 3 Stars.
LOVE IT! Elliott Smith is a great artist and his first CD is no exception to his talents. All of his CD's are filled with music that you love to hear. I like Roman Candle because it is Elliott before he was really in the music scene. It is him au naturel.
