is an excellent read which incorporates Thompson's sardonic wit and storytelling with factual sections regarding Captain Cook and the Westernization of the Hawaiian Islands. The read has the fiendish intensity of "Fear and Loathing" and the way Thompson weaves the historical information in is seamless. A must read for any lover of Gonzo Journalism. This is a tough one to find but worth the process. Corbin W. Wyant Naples, Fl. 2006
This book was exactly what I was looking for when I did my Ebay search. The book was purchased to replace one that was stolen at my work place. The right price and the right book at precisely the right time. Now the CURSE OF LONO has been passed to the thief he took my original Hard Bound copy of The Curse. May he or she rot in hell...Or spend the rest of their waking hours being taunted by Lono...
Book fell apart as soon as my daughter opened it to read it. Was not "near mint" by any definition. Very expensive for the poor condition.
