This is an awesome book for the teenager - it covers everything you want your child to remember throughout the teen years. It includes 101 different short stories of life, love and learning. Helps make the well rounded teen - and helps them learn to make good concious, God loving choices. This book covers Relationships, friendship, family, love and kindness, learning, tough stuff, making a difference, and going for it. Tough stuff includes topics such as drinking, drinking and driving, trusting, who's a TRUE friend, and that some times, the tough thing to do is the RIGHT thing to do. My nephew now gives his time to the less fortunate, volunteering at handicap camps locally, and food drives/banks, and I feel this book played a big role in his compassion. Also, in finding and being happy with his self image. All books in this series are probably just as good, but I KNOW the first one was definately a book that was worth it's weight in gold to our family.Read full review

This is a little girl who can spend hours on end in from of the T.V playing nintendo Wii of playstation 2. I bought it for her because I read it when I was her age (I'm 22 now) and i was amazed to realize that I was not the only one going through the issues i was. She was on a path to becoming rebellious, feeling like no one understood her. I was suprised to see her sitting on the couch reading it and not in front of the T.V with a controller in her hand. I asked her how the book was and she said "its ok" which in the language of a teenager means she liked it :)
am giving as a gift, have read man chicken soup books and thought my friend could use as her daughter is approaching being a teenager very soon (told both to read)

I found my 12 yr. old son was reading this book during after care one day when I came to get him. He loved it and couldn't put it down. He said "this is exactly how I feel". I asked his teacher if he could borrow it. When he was done with it, he asked me to purchase it for his reading library. As he was reading it, I often found him smiling or laughing. A few times, he even shared stories he liked with me. Any book that 1) kids like/want to read and 2) want to share with and talk to their parents about......is an awesome, "must have" book!
