I wanted this CD because it represents the best of Eric Clapton between 1965 and 1970. I only had two of these tracks on other Clapton and Cream albums I own, so it was a very worthwhile purchase. The music is excellent and always a pleasure to listen to. A diehard fan will probably have these tracks on other albums or CD's but to me this represents the best of Eric from his early real blues output. I recommend Stages to anyone who appreciates quality, tuneful and masterfully played blues music.
I bought the CD because I did not have this album on CD. I have almost everything that Eric has ever recorded, so this just goes into my collection.
My age.My son is 12 & clapton is an insperation,to all budding giutarists.Money well spent& great to be able to listen to music knowing the age gap between us is bridged for a while.
What an album. You've got to get this. In places this is Clapton at his supreme best. 'Stepping Out' is a must when getting ready for a Friday night... Clapton is God
