During the golden age of Chambara (Japanese samurai movies) 1973, Lone Wolf and Cub TV show was on TV in Japan. Based on the Lone Wolf and Cub Manga (comic books) Ogami Ittō, a master swordsman, forced by the evil Yagu clan to become an assassin to survive, pushes his young son in a weaponized baby cart through feudal Japan. I like these DVDs because they follow the plot of the manga more closely and because they have more time for plot and character development than the Lone Wolf and Cub movies did. If you dislike violent entertainment, this product is not for you, it contains bloody sword fights with ridiculously high body counts in every episode.

Lone Wolf and Cub use to be my favorite TV Series 40 years ago while stationed in Okinawa. Today, it is just as good as it was than. I now collect anything out on Itto Ogame's T.V. series and movies.
