This film is as relevant today as 30 years ago. It is so carefully crafted to actually tell its story, not to grandstand the filmmaker, and this is rare. It is some of the most intense social commentary that I have ever seen on film, and it hits alienation at its source - the objectification of human beings, and does not wallow in it as unresolvable. "Vive L'Amour" is one of my all-time favorite movies. It is truly riveting; there is not a boring moment.
