The U.S. Mint struck over 200 million coins for this issue making it very common. However, due to this one year Type design many collectors pulled these coins from circulation. Some saved them as conversation pieces or many times setting them aside believing that they have some significant value.
However, most examples in circulated grade are really common and only worth face value. Even some coins in Uncirculated grades up to about MS63 can still be pulled from circulation. Examples in MS64 and MS65 require some searching and considered scarce in these grades in circulation. In MS66 condition they become scarce overall with less than a few hundred examples known. In MS67 grade they are almost unheard of with less than a couple dozen known and none existing in better condition.
These coins were minted from 1975 to 1976 to celebrate 200 years of independence and these coins were beautiful minted and will never be minted again. These coins are part of American history with wonderful detail to the back of coin and the front with the dual dates which makes these coins one of a kind for all to enjoy and collect.

I'm not sure why anyone would write a review about coins while at the same time admitting that they're not a coin collector, don't know what "50C Clad" means, and doesn't know what they're looking at. Why write a review about anything that you don't know what you're talking about ?? SMH !! (BTW, "50C Clad" means it is a 50 cent coin and it is primary made out of clad, not gold, copper, silver, platinum, etc ... Maybe we should all go now and write a review about all life on Mars. LOL !! :-) Have a great day people and thanks for reading !!
