Have been looking a long time for this version of The Yearling. The quality of film was better than expected.

Wife had never seen "The Yearling" and I bought two versions to compare and share. The Gregory Peck Version is still my personal favorite but this version should be included as a valued interpretation and a vehicle showcasing outstanding performances by the cast, director and camera crew. (The Bear/Dogs scene is a masterpiece.)
