Only a year after dropping his solo album debut, 2pac is at it again, this time with a little more edge and political views in strictly 4 my N.I.G.G.A.Z. The cd gets off to a tremendous start with the attention getting "holla if ya hear me" in which he goes in on former vice president Dan Quayle who seems to always find a way to criticize the popular rap star where pac says "quayle i love it when u bring my name up" 2pac doesnt stop there as he goes on a topic for women in "keep ya head up" a anthem for single mothers and "i get a round" which received commercial success but mainly the tracks on strictly that are heart wrenching is the ever touching "papaz song" which almost 80% black males in the hood can strongly relate to. I strongly recommend this item. Although strictly may not be on the same pace as "me against the world" and "all eyes on me" its a product worth checking outRead full review
Along with All Eyez On Me, this is Pac at his lyrical peak. 5 Deadly Venomz is one the most compelling tracks he ever recorded, reciting "every day could be my last day" in the 5th verse of the song. Also this record was made at a time, when these sort of ideas Pac rapped about were ground breaking. No one before or since (or ever will be) as deep and profound and lyrically off the hook as this Man. The album explodes and keeps burning furiously all the way to the end, "a fire hotter than the fourth july".
I purchased this cd many years ago. My original copy was stolen, my car was broken into. The cd in my opinion is fair. There are 3 outstanding tracks making well worth adding to your collection. Keep Ya Head Up is a powerful and well made maserpiece in lyrics and meaning.
Must have for Pac fans. I enjoy 7 tracks on the album. This album is not commerical and was Pac's last album before he figured out how to sale albums and spit that raw laa-dee-dah-dee. If this album had better producers it would have sold more; however, with that said the raw morbid beats on "Strictly for my NIGGAZ, "Holler If Ya Here Me," "Souljah's Revenge" serve as as a prelude to Makaveli.
Hell yeah
