His insight & articulateness & artistry are the finest this side of Dylan. However, the audio & video quality of this production are unfortunately poor. That's ;probably inevitable given the venue & conditions. But better to have this document than none.

THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR ANY LEONARD COHEN FAN! ONE OF THE GREATEST ARTIST AND PERFORMERS OF OUR TIME,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a concert DVD of the infamous Isle of Wight show in 1970, delivered by Cohen, with three female backup vocalists, and assorted brilliant session players including Charlie Daniels and Bob Johnston on keyboards. If you love his first couple of albums this is a must see. Delivered with an effortless soul and spontaneity. The only criticisms I've read have been around the inclusion of documentary interviews from present day which throws off the moment of the moment with too much information at times. I'm not bothered by it at all and needed some context anyways. Music like this doesn't exist any more - it is genuine and not strategic, fragile yet powerful, emotionally uninhibited and inspired.
