My dog gets seizures from various rawhide chews and certain types of dog food. There must be some kind of chemical that reacts with her system. She is a black poodle about 12 lbs. My doctor wanted $500 to clean her teeth. She is only 4 years old and I brush them often. ( I think he needed a new fence or something.) When I bought these I was Leary about them. I gave her one every 3 days, then 1 every two days and finally 1 every day and she has never had a negative reaction to them. Her breath improved quite a bit and she loves them. She also vomited "Greenies" so these made me very happy that she could digest these. The price is excellent and the service was great. Thank you for carrying these.

These dental chews were great for keeping plaque and tarter from building up on my dogs' teeth when they were younger. However, there really needs to be a warning on the package stating NOT to use with older dogs. These are made of ground rawhide, and are VERY tough. My 14 year old dog split a molar tooth on one of these chews, causing her pain & a hefty dental extraction bill for me. Our vet agrees that this is an issue. I no longer purchase these for my dogs.

The sticks have an enzyme in them that helps keep the nasty stuff from forming on her only remaining CLEAN teeth. Save you and your pup the horrible experience and the cost of teeth removal and cleaning at the vet. These are pricey compared to grocery market products but will save you $$ in the long run. One a day is all they need. These come in different sizes for different size dogs.
