I bought the book, reviewed it a bit while I had it and then ended up dropping the class. So, take what I say with a grain of salt. I'm not a bio/science major either. I thought the book was terrific, lots of details, sufficient # of pictures and I loved the color and snippets that brought things to life throughout the textbook.
