The disc and case themselves were in fine shape, the content is not the best. STP's first 2 albums are the best, the next two are not quite as good, but this one (the 5th) is fair at best.

Essentially the sound is quite different from Stone Temple Pilots No. 4 album, and definately stems away from the grungy sound of Core and Purple. Much like Tiny Music...Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop, this album tries to expirement. It uses a lot of Eastern sounds in some songs, such as Too Cool Queenie, in a refreshing way. Though not to be out done there are some Hard Rock songs like Dumb Love and Regeneration. The sound brings me back to the Beetles and their use of Eastern sounds from India. However STP does no do so in an abrasive way, rather, subtly and gently. Making your ears scream of Earphoria. Overall I feel that STP went out with a bang with this one and did not try to overly emphasize the eastern sound that would possibly alienate their auidence. Definately worthy of a good listen through, if not, a buy.Read full review
