My son wanted a lava lamp for his room and I am just tired of the cheap options available. I bought this lava lamp thinking I would not like the purchase and he would like his cheap room decoration. However, the clear liquid does stay clear. The black color of the "lava" is in deed black and the shapes created are much better than I could have imagined. This is the perfect lava lamp!

G'Day, The first time we turned it on and warmed up ( the 2 to 3 hours instructions said it might take) the Lava Lamp it was really nice . It had many circles of the black Lava floating up & down. Then after recommended hours of use we turned it off. The next time we turned it on knowing it would take time to warm up, the Black Circle of material stayed at the bottom & didn't float or even have little black circles floating. Tha lamp gets very hot to the touch, and it doesn't float anymore. The Lava Lamp is in a 73 degree bedroom and has a safe table with no obstructions to enclose it's space to make it very hot. The lamp is just like all lava lamps it gets hot and the goo inside goes to the top and drops back Down. This part of it works great , it's the color . It's not black, not even dark blue or purple which I would be ok with..its BROWN . ugh.. when I'm watching this thing it constantly reminds me of 💩. All they needed to do is through a few corn pieces in there and it would be 100% disgusting. This dump lamp had potential of being great but they didn't add enough black . So this lamp might be an addition to anyone's restroom. it's just that this thing is just wrong on so many levels that i think I'll donate it to the proctologist in my building I think they have something to do with the 💩 area. Idk if it's this company or if they're all like this so be warned. Talk about my 💩 luck

This lava lamp had one stream and no movement at all, one glob. I thought it would have a bubble of lava with movement. Very disappointed. Paid more for the silver and Black to match grand daughters new room, very disappointed.
