The spells were well written as were the rituals and I am particularly fond of the way the author warns others to not get involved in Coven magick and allow someone complete control over them by showing the Sadistic side to that clearly. Much like some Roman sects of Catholism the acceptance of lashings to such degree is considered spiritual when really it is born of the dark places of a distressed and diviant mind. This book even requires the Priestess to recieve 10x more lashings than she gives - showing the sadistic nature and delight of the priestess involved. Coming from a family Coven of many generations, and NOT requiring or desiring such action within it. I as an ordained Priestess don't see the value especially since there are so many other more powerful ways to raise the energy from within. I was however intrigued to find that the sex magick was kept as a thing that should only be done in private and after said ceremony as a means of grounding ones energy. Again - I feel that there are many ways that were unexplored to bring the magick within oneself and release it back to the universe. Now aside from these two factors I found some good valid spells and salves, etc. And despite the fact I found the Priests role to be almost nonexistant I do credit the book with some very valuable information.Read full review
Book showed up much sooner then expected and was very well packaged. This is my second copy of this book and I'm incredibly pleased with the condition. Cheers

I liked this book, as it is easy read and very informative on the subject. You got interesting things to try out through the whole book. A good part of the magical library.. It is few evocations in it though.. You have to find them elsewhere. This is more for invocations, spells and the way of life for a witch.. the basic stuff. But, in combination with other books, to fullfill other needs, this book is excellent. Blessed be Patrik
Classic Some claims by Lady Sheba may be a bit dubious. But, the Craft that she practiced is the vein of British Traditional Wicca and well worth a read. The earlier review from the "Ordained Priestess" that calls it "Sadistic" shows the reviewers ignorance of the practice of ritual scourging within BTW. It is listed as one of the 8 paths to magick by Gerald Gardner himself. The scourging in BTW is not sadistic. No one is whipping or beating or harming anyone during a ritual scourging.
