This is the only book that I read from start to finish and immediately started reading it again. It is like a locked room mystery where there are only 4 people on an island and two end up missing (presumably dead). The story to me was a fascinating take on did she or didn't she. Vince Bugliosi defended the female half of the accused and she was found innocent. I ended up thinking that in spite of the circumstances, she probably was and was simply one of those submissive women who believes everything she is told by a domineering man. Sounds unbelievable, but there it is. This story was so fantastic it couldn't have been fiction as there were so many twists and turns and it wouldn't have been believable. A great read and be sure and google the map of the island. By the way, I hated the movie.Read full review
I read it 20 years ago, and I still think about it quite a bit.
