Arnold Schwartzenegger stars as Howard Langston, an overworked mattress salesman who has been neglecting his family of late; in an attempt to redeem himself, he promises his son whatever he wants for Christmas. Turns out that his heart's desire is a TurboMan doll, coveted by every other kid this year as well, and Howard quickly forgets about his promise until Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, all the stores are already sold out, and Howard embarks upon a wild goose chase throughout the streets of Minneapolis, encountering some wacky characters along the way. These include a postal worker of questionable sanity (Sinbad), a ticket-happy police officer (Robert Conrad), and a con-artist Santa Claus (James Belushi). I am glad I finally purchased Jingle All the Way DvD. This year (2010) it did not play on tv and it really upset my son and I. This is one of our favorite "watch every year" movie. I love Sinbad in movies and he's a real dill pickle in this film. Have you ever been caught in the middle of a must have Christmas toy fad? Cabbage Patch Kids, Furby, Elmo, Zhu-Zhu Pets? Before the days of the internet we had more crazy parents out physically shopping to get their childs Christmas wants. I remember waiting in line for hours and scrambling to grab a CPK doll when I was 12! This movie is hilarious! Watch your childhood come back to you!
This movie is a family tradition! It is funny and fast moving. I have recommended it to many people over the years, kids and adults have loved it!

Watching this movie has become a "family tradition" every Christmas season for our family! Even though our kids are grown, when we all get together it's the first request for watching and laughing together. Sinbad and Phil Hartman are at their funniest, and what can you say about Arnold! He does make a great superhero! If you haven't seen it you don't know what you are missing!
