This is an excellent book to learn medical terminology from. Myrna Lafleur Brooks uses repetition as the initial way of memorizing the prefixes, root words, and suffixes. The CD that comes along with the book is wonderful. If you read each chapter, do the exercises, and then play the games and activities on the CD, there is no way you can't retain the information. This book is worth the money to those that are serious about learning medical language. The book also came with flash cards, and real case studies, progress notes, pathology reports, etc. A must Buy!

The book that I purchased was required for a class that I was taking at tech school. Brand new books are so expensive, and even moreso when purchased right from the school. I was able to look for a used textbook on ebay that suit my needs and ended up finding all but one that I needed for school. I ended up paying almost exactly HALF of what my school quoted me for the books. What a savings! School tuition is costly enough. Ebay gave me the opportunity to lighten the financial burden alittle bit. Thanks Ebay!!
this book was purchased for a class that will be taking this fall in college, the price was excellent (cheaper than bookstore)
Normally the book has everything organized well, but sometimes it went into left field with placing stuff randomly. When y ou buy the book new at the school it came with CDs to learn your needed terms, not that is something that was EXTREMELY helpful. I got an A in the class.
