Call me biased if you like, I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a huge fan of John Lennon's solo stuff. I like what he did with the Beatles the best, but for me, that's as good as it's going to get. If it wasn't for the price, I don't think I ever would've wasted my time buying this DVD in the first place; and I'm sorry to say, I just am not that pleased with it even after viewing it. I find it totally lacking something that I cannot put my finger on & won't attempt to figure that out. Sorry, but you're not going to get a good recommendation on this one from me & I'm a huge Beatles fan, I love Paul, Ringo & even some of George's solo stuff, but as for John; he just doesn't have there for me.
I must admit, that although I love the Beatles, I am not such a big fan of Lennon solo material. I like it a lot, but I much rather listen to McCartney solo. Now that I finally did buy the DVD, Legend, I must say, it made me like John Lennon's music a lot more than I used to. Obviously, the reason I like it more could not be that I haven't heard some of these songs, because I heard them all, a million times. What this DVD does for me is that it illustrates the inspiration on video behind these songs. Also, with the aid of many new videos created for this release through editing magic, it makes everything seem fresh and new. Lennon music does not sound dated to me anymore, it's fresh and today, and in your face. Thank Goodness I broke down and purchased this video.

I am a huge Beatles/John Lennon fan, but unfortunately there are not alot of DVD selections available. This is his latest posthumous release and it shares alot of the emotion concerning the loss of John to his fans and especially his family. Contains very sad scenes of Yoko at the Strawberry fields memorial and even a couple of pictures of the deceased Lennon. DVD have such great sound quality this is a must own for any Beatles/Lennon fan
