First off let me state that I am white, but have always felt that all of Gods Children are exactly that: Gods Children. It is filled with wonderful information about the trials of the African American in the early Mormon Church, their accomplishments, their faith, and their strength as individuals. Of course their trials will continue as they do for all of us. I have learned a lot, have been spiritualy fed by the feelings that have intered my heart and mind. I cried several time and my love has increased to a new high for the struggles of the African American in the socitity of the LDS Church. I also feel that I have a little better idea of how I can better support them. I would recommend this book to all that have love in their heart for the African Amerian, and would not mind having even more.Read full review
