The XT901 is a really solid phone. Motorola and other phone vendors now have phones with many new features and functions. The XT901 for me, CDMA US Cellular, is stuck in time to Android version 4.1 (for on original reset and 4.4 Over The Air (OTA) update). But the phone is just great and just works! So I would recommend if Android 4.4 will work for you.

It has an Hdmi, which is rare in a cell phone. You need to be a bit of a nerd, as I am, and download an APK for google play, so you can use and download any apps such as Google Maps or Opera. Chrome and several apps are not supported with this older version. I will be using this cell phone as a mini computer overseas to play Netflix, connect to a TV and play Music downloaded (doubtful it could be used as a cell phone). For my purposes I have been very happy with the purchase, after I figured out how to make it talk to the programs I wanted.

This phone is full of features! Great large display is clear and easy to see. Dual core cpu it amazingly fast along with plenty of memory and on board storage. The phone is easy to navigate. The camera's take great pic's and videos, not as good as my Canon 18MP d-SLR, but still you're looking at an 8MP camera on a cell phone! I stepped up to the Electrify after having bad luck with the HTC Desire. Battery life with this phone is as it is with any smartphone, the more features you use the faster the drain is going to be, though I do have the battery setting on maximum battery saver which does help and I also put the phone in the "sleep mode" when not using it which also helps. If I use Pandora for the most part of the day I do have to charge the phone, otherwise the charge will last me a day or better, depending on how much talk time I am using. The value of this phone is great if you are upgrading, the retail is a bit high, but worth it if you can afford it. Motorola has always had the leading edge in cell phone technology as well as being renowned for having superior reception quality. I'm a truck driver, have been for the past 19 years and have tried a variety of phones, if Motorola isn't for you I would suggest either a Samsung or a LG since they too (in my honest opinion) have good reception quality, but again I must say Motorola is by far the best for call reception I've been to all 48 states in the continental US and several locations in Canada and I have always had the best luck with Motorola phonesRead full review

In layman's terms, (the only terms I know), this phone is awesome! The screen is big enough to see what you are trying to see, the buttons are big enough even for my fat fingers. Is got lots of memory, I dont think you'd ever run out (I did buy an extra 16 gig memmory card but I dont really need it). I've gotten several apps for it and they all run perfectly(I was told because the phone has more than a gig of ram, but thats all greek to me. The 8 mp camera is better than the real camera I use. Photos turn out great and you can do all kinds of cool things to them. The only drawback is battery life but I dont think any smart phone has a good battery life. And thats easily taken care of, just buy a car charger. The only other thing (and its not the phone) is I wish Otterbox would quit concentrating on the Iphone and make a camo case for this one! Its a great phone does everything I want it to and more, heck, I dont even need my laptop anymore!Read full review
