I just bought this after Tim Russert's death, and it is a great tribute to fathers. The book is basically testimonial-type missives that were sent to Tim Russert after he wrote his book, Big Russ and Me, about his relationship with his father. Russert got thousands of responses from people about their own fathers, mostly good, loving examples of fatherhood. He included less than perfect examples, but it is mostly positive memories, sayings, and feelings felt by sons and daughters. This is a great gift for fathers, and a great read for almost anyone. Very uplifting. Even reading the introduction by Tim Russert took my breath away. Reading what his own son, Luke, did in honor of Russert was worth the price of the book. I am not a man, but reading this reminded me of my own father and his sacrificial love for me and our family. Reading the book made me want to be a better person. This book and The Last Lecture are two of my new favorites this year. Worth your time!Read full review

I heard about this book as Fathers Day approached. It was highly regarded as inspiring for fathers around the world. I know to me this book was very touching; reading stories of the many great dads and their lasting impact on their children. A must read for all new dads.
