Erma Bombeck is a gem and through her unique voice she will always live in our hearts. This collection spans all the decades when she wrote and she paints great pictures for someone like me who was not old enough to remember the 1960s or 1970s, so this book served a historical purpose as well a being entertaining and helped greatly with a writing project. She discusses every topic imaginable and her clever mind will no doubt imprint your memory with many funny stories. I found this book to be a lovely way to spend an afternoon in the sun, it's a fast read and hysterical.
I decided to bid on this book because I had previously read several of Erma Bombeck's books and had always admired her style of writing and, of course, her humor. I always considered her a kind of feminine Will Rogers of the latter half of the twentieth century! She was a remarkable lady and she will always remain one of my favorites as she was definitely a writer of and for the populace. I also wish she had been a little less altruistic at the end of her life as we definitely could use some of her humor and wisdom now.
What a pleasure to do business with you and for this great book delivered so quick. I loved ERMA and the book is wonderful… full of laughs & human nature at its best.

I purchased this book because I am a fan of Erma Bombeck. I have many of her books, but this is unique in that it is a wonderful collection of the columns she had written during her more than thirty years as a writer. Her humorous and heartwarming view of married life and raising children fill the pages of this book. Stories like "no more oatmeal kisses" and "are we rich?" give daily life a different prespective and make you laugh,(and sometimes cry). This is a real treasure to have in your home.
Funny. Timeless. There will never be another Erma Bombeck.
