I decided to buy the box set because I love Friends, and I was sick of watching episodes online, and having commercials interrupt me while watching it on tv. It is a nice box set, great gift idea. However some of the dvd's freeze or skip, and it can get quite irritating. The way the manufacturer has them inside the box is very tight, and the dvd's can easily get scratched. I think i am just going to put away the boxes and "cd cases" of all 4 dvd's and put them into a dvd book case thing... so they do not get scratched anymore.
This limited edition collector's box which holds all ten seasons of Friends is simply excellent. It is made of sturdy wood with a nice black finish all around and a surprisingly functional and high quality glass door. The glass door has a silk screened image of the six friends in their evening wear on it. This box is very sturdy and has a nice heft to it (won't break easily unless you are really careless). It looks great on any DVD shelf. One minor issue people may have is the box is fairly deeper than most DVD cases/boxes; thus, depending on what kind of shelf you have, it may stick over the edge slightly. However, because the glass door is in the front, the box will be very well balanced towards the back. Overall, this collector's box is the perfect way to showcase a well loved show and its stars. The only real downside is the surprisingly limited quantities available. If you have all ten seasons, then you should definitely try and get this box. If you don't yet have the series but want to, getting the box with all the seasons included is the way to go. If you don't like the series, then this is all a "moo point."Read full review
My wife And I love this show It's our absolute favorite. Over the years we have bought each season as they came out, so now we have all ten seasons and we are looking for just the case! I have looked high and low for just the ten season collectors case but I have come up empty handed every time. Does anyone out there know where I can find the ten season Friends collectors case? I would really appreciate it if anyone knows where I can find this. Thanks in advance my fellow friends lovers!!!
i wanted to get this version of the friends dvds a year and a half ago but kept putting it off, til ultimately it was replaced by the lame cheaper version box set that's out right now. you can only find this collectors version online. great deal on it, and this version is better simply because of the hardwood clear box and if one of your season sets get messed up, you can easily replace that season unlike the current collector's set.
I love Friends and this collection is great! Beautiful box and all the extended versions.
