This book is about the impeachment trial of President Clinton written by the Chief Investigative Counsel for the House Judiciary Committee. In it, he describes how both the Republicans and the Democrats put a half-hearted effort into the investigation and the trial because of the popular opinion. The government at the time acted and responded to the polls. Because the Senators and Representatives already made up their mind before hearing or seeing any evidence, they did not pay attention to what little evidence that was presented as evidence. I personally did not watch the hearings on TV because I believed the media spin that this whole thing was just about sex and I did not want x rated testimony to enter into my children's ears. So, this book clearly showed me that the media will say what they want in order to promote their liberal agenda and no longer will they report the facts. I liked this book because it presented the evidence of President Clinton's lies, tampering with witnesses, obstruction of justice and perjury and left out the x rated testimony. Clearly, he should have been impeached even without those details.Read full review
