The dvd's are just fine, quality is not the greatest, but neither was the quality on those old black and white tv's those movies were shown on. I have read reviews by some primadonna's, who are too used to their HD-TV's rate it as bad, but for those of us who could care less whether it is HD or not, or if it has some channel logo at the corner, and for the money, (I got mine for about $20) it is a great deal, especially if you have a dvd enhancing player and like paying 20 cents a movie! Z
