This CD box set has some hard to find stuff which is good for hardcore Bjork fans. However the 3 inch CD size is problematic. If the CD's were normal size there could be more obscure songs. This box set is more like a sampling of what could have been a GREAT box set.

This collection of Bjork's work is amazing. Broken into Roots, Beats, and Strings with a final cd of Bjork's favorites, these cds show a different side to the musician's work. Having heard almost all of the songs before, it was a thrill to hear different versions that focus more on Bjork's voice, than the range of electronic background sounds(which are also fantastic). Roots has music from her Icelandic years and it is great to hear the songs in her native tongue. It is wild and intense and grounded in her punk rock past. Beats is fun and has a bit of the electronic sound sampling that she experimented with. I love the strings. It is very personal to hear her sing with the soft (though not always) violins, harps and such in the background. If you are a fan, and even if you aren't and are looking for something intelligent and different, try this. Don't be afraid of the size of the cds. They are all mini cd's except the last disc. They all play just fine.Read full review

Good buy, very artistic and classic Bjork. Many different styles in an intimate setting. Recommended.
