This little p-47 Thud is a nicely detailed model. Only minus is the cockpit, which is pretty short on detail. You can cover for much of this shortcoming by painting and installing the pilot, but I usually don't. Not to worry, though -- a non-retractable canopy pretty much hides the cockpit. Over all, the plane is a nice fit. I'm thinking of trying the Hasegawa 1/72 scale Mustang as a follow-up.

Classic molding ahead of its time when introduced in the late 1980's. Still a good solid build with a fine fit and minimal sanding required. No flash on the sprue as can be expected from Hasegawa quality.

The model was no problem assembling and came out looking pretty good. I altered a few things on it but basically it was straight out of the box ready to assemble, paint, and apply decals. Took about a week to complete in order to allow cement to set during phases of construction and various paint coats to completely dry.
