I've enjoyed T.C. Boyle's work since Water Music, and this book struck me as his most unique. This one is darker and has more of a thriller feel to it -- along with Boyle's interesting use of language. I missed some of the sarcasm and fun of his earlier novels, but Talk Talk makes up for that just by the interesting nature of its subject and the fascinating relationship of the three main characters. I recommend this book highly.
This book was recommended by my niece and I passed it on to my friend then my sister. It is a book that is well written and fast reading. It would appeal to many people as there are great recipes and information on sign language. Do not want to give away the plot that makes this book a page turner. A reader will recognize parts of the United States, even the fictionalized places. I highly recommend this book.
