The Mystery Machine gang seeks to only venture out to view old silent movies and find themselves crossing paths with a jester ghost, haunting a theatre. What on earth could the jester's reason be to spook old obscure silent films? That's for Scooby and the gang to find out. Amazingly, the story involves quite a bit of bravery from ol' Shaggy, but once again, Scooby's fears save the day. Approximately the time this issue would have come out would have been around the time Scooby cartoon adventures involved the bad guy making a get-away, with Shaggy and Scooby having to tackle them and stop them. The second story involves a golden ghost, trying to scare potential gold prospectors from land deals, or is it due to something else. Amazingly, both stories involved intriguing little 'fun facts' from Freddie. The guy was almost Batman-knowledgeable with what he had to offer here. And finally, the tie in to an upcoming Dynomutt issue in the final, two-page segment. Definite '70s read worth it for its escapism.Read full review
