I bought this book to be able to reasearch all the beautiful states I have not been able to travel to yet. I love the big beautiful pictures it includes along with maps and points of interest, national parks, state parks and anything anyone would want to know about the area. What kind of things to expect and look out for. Places that you can only get to by hiking. Very imformative book. It also explains ways that mother nature plays a part in the changing landscapes. How different waterfalls or waterways were formed or what made a mountain the shape it is. How volcanoes affected the earth ect ect. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in seeing what other states are like.
This book has been beneficial in helping my family plan our vacations in past years, and I have misplaced my copy. The book is out of print, and I really like the way it provided ideas for other things to see and do within a days drive of our destination. It also points out the highlights of each area it "zones". Other books I have seen mearly describe the specific area being talked about. This book also lists nearby places to visit. An excellent vacation traveling book.
