Luanne Rice has a gift for spinning intricate family tales with the observant eye of a psychologist or behaviorist, and this book is no exception. The family in Blue Moon is generally a happy one, but there are some stress points evident--a marriage being tested by a child's disability, a single woman who has given up on love but finds it unexpectedly with all its joys and terrors, and a father facing retirement are just some of the changes occurring to upset the family dynamic. The characters are rich and fully developed, the plot evolves naturally from the characterizations, and as always Ms. Rice writes a very life-affirming and warm story.
I love Luanne Rice. I've read almost all of her books. Blue Moon was a great read except for pages missing and skipping back to pages I had already read. I bought it from half price books to save some money.
