I ordered this for my son's older 10-22, a 1976 model. I was trying to update the look and give him and adjustable stock, he's small for his age and I didn't want to cut the original walnut stock down. Out of the box, looks very cool! All the parts needed are there except for any kind of iron style sighting system. wouldn't be a big deal, but you have to remove the original sights to install this stock so unless you are all set with some sort of picatinny mountable sight or optics, plan on spending a couple hundred more for sights be fore the rifle becomes usable. Although the instructions were not the best, but the installation was not bad if you have any kind of mechanical skills. My only issue was the top picatinny section required a bit of sanding to seat properly on the rifle receiver. Fit was very good other than the top piece. But that was easily remedied. Pros: looks cool, adjustable stock is firm and secure, pistol grip is comfortable for small and larger hands, handy little storage areas in the but of the stock and in the pistol grip, overal great quality, and tough. Cons: !!!!!!!!! NO SIGHTS INCLUDED !!!!!!! While mounted in this stock, the rifle is unusable without spending a good bit more cash on mounts, sights, or optics. Of lesser importance, the bayonet is just plastic and for all for show. The "muzzle break" is also plastic, kind of cheesy, and non functioning except for holding the "bayonet" also a good cleaning will require complete removal from the stock and tools are required. No "field strip" ability. Overall, I thought the quality was a 5, but the fact that it is unusable until I spend another $200 on a sight system is a pretty hard knock against it and I couldn't give it 5 stars because of it. The other cons just needed to be mentioned, but I don't consider the bayonet to be a needed feature. This won't turn your 10-22 into an AR-15, but will make it a lot more comfortable and fun to use than the original stock. Also if your plan is to put together a cheap "Assault rifle" by purchasing this and putting a new 10-22 into it, save a few more pennies and get yourself a used entry level AR-15 you'll be happier. Easy, it's not. You'll need a good screwdriver and Allen Wrenches and unfortunately some sand paper and a file. It's not a perfect fit. The front stock had to be sanded/filed down on the inside to slide past the barrel retaining clamp. If you're not handy with tools and don't have some gunsmith experience you will have problems. I ran into a problem with one of the screws that holds the top rail down, it stripped out immediately. Remember you're working with polymer (plastic). Fortunately I have a screw thread repair kit and resolved the problem. The extended magazine release also tested my nerves. After all is said and done, the finished product does look great and you can add a lot of goodies.

The stock is built very solid. The only issues were fit. It does require some sanding or filing to get parts fitting tight. Once that is done though, it turns a basic .22 into a very impressive looking rifle. Head turner at the range.

I rated this stock as a 4 star product as it needed filed in one area of the plastic in order to get the bolt to move back forwards as the plastic was stopping the bolt from moving correctly, however it has a great rail system with a large rail on the top for things like scopes and a smaller one on the top front for a flashlight or lazor. It has one rail on the bottom for the trypod which was handy. The add read two storage compartments on this stock but i could only find one in the end of the handle and also it claims to have 6 points for a sling to be mounted of which i only found 3 on the rear of this stock,i solved this problem by using a two point sling which requires no hardware. An all round good stock for the money.

Out of the box: The overall looks are good! All the parts needed are there. I installed this on my Bull Barrel 10/22. Overall fit was good, except for the sides of the receiver that accepts the stock 10rd magazine was a little to snug. Made it very difficult to remove the mag which now stops the user from using stock 10rd mags. Wouldn't be a problem if you have a long 25rd mag where you can grip it and pull straight down. Would have been nice to see some sort of mechanical sight come with it. Was nice of them to provide the extended mag release. Even though the mag release was composite and not metal, it functions fine. The function of the collapsible stock is poor. The collapsible stock binds up and does not operate smoothly. The lock for the slide lever on the stock doesn't work. As noted by others, there should be metal thread inserts for assembling parts together. Metal bolts with composite threads just don't work well. Instructions weren't to bad. But I am by far, not a first time user. It would have been better with a few pictures to help the new comers.. Pros: Looks Good !! Feels Good !! Was a good deal for what I paid. Design for the most part and material is good. Cons: 1) Problems with mag release as noted above. 2) Collapsible stock binds. 3) Slide lock for stock doesn't lock. 4) Very little pressure needed to strip a composite hole with a metal bolt. If you're going for looks, this is good. But if you are looking for a great functioning stock for the money, look elsewhere. Because of certain problems that were noted above, I cannot give this a five star. Read full review
