Breaking Dawn as a book has been reviewed, so I'm trying to JUST review the audiobook itself. I though it was really well done and I was pleased with the choice of narrators. It's very long and to put it on my ipod I used a program called Chapter and Verse..."you can google it". The Jacob narrator did a great job in capturing the Jacob voice in my head from the book rather than any sort of comparison to Taylor Lautner who had his own spin. His "Bella" voice was weird to me, but I've not heard other male narrators address women's voices, so I'm not sure how it compares. Overall, I was very happy with the quality of work.
This is the 4th and final book from the Twilight Saga. And yeah, it's hella good!!! Bella is now Mrs. Cullen, she married Edward and she left to her honeymoon. They consummate their matrimony and there's something totally unexpected. Bella's health is deteoriorating day by day from this "illness" and Edward and the rest of his family are helpless. Jacob joins the Cullens to protect Bella from any danger. There's a big change in Bella's life along with a new family member. But now, a new danger threatens the Cullens life, they must fight to survive... Bella must fight for her loved one. This is a must read book!!! It's just breath-taking!
I did not end up caring for Bella so much, she is an in-mature teenager and can not see what else other than Edward not being able to read her mind that he found so interesting, Edward may look 17 but is totally older than that in reality. So how could they really have anything in common? I makes much more sense that she would have ended up with Jacob since he is really his age of 16. Bella's selfish ways and treatment towards Jacob was so cruel. It would have been nice if her dad and her mom would have ended up together they did not have their characters developed enough or envolved enough. All in all it was ok, I will read the point of view from Edward which I hope it will explain more of what else he really saw in Bella but what would be more inter-resting is if there is a story about what happens to Jacob and Renesmee in the later years...Read full review
I found this to be a fantastic ending book on the Twilight series. I really recommend this book to all Twilight fans. This is a keeper as are the previous three. I have all 4 books in hardback and now in unabridged CD's. The CD's allow me to enjoy my books while doing housework, needlework, yardwork or driving the car. I so wish Ms. Meyer would give us another installment in this series.....
I have read all the Twilight books and watched the movies. The audio books are great for my 40 minute drive to work. My husband hates to read, but really got into these during our recent vacation. He realized there was a lot more to the series than they show in the movies. With the books and audio books you get a better understanding of the characters. These are wonderful for anyone who hates to read or wants something different to listen to in the car.
