I honestly never saw any of it and just had to check it out. Not disappointed. I followed a lot of the bronze age Superman books and this pretty much was a series reflecting that period. It gets silly and derivative but it's sincere escapism that, in a lot of ways, most action-adventure shows are lacking these days. The additional life of Superman in retrospect segments at the end of every show was a real treat. The whole thing was just a neat surprise for a fan who never knew that something like this existed. It's not the pinnacle of animation success like that of the Fleischers, not even close.-but worse things have been done in the name of Kal-El.
Excellent Superman gem
