The target and cross hairs are clear and easy to see. Nice sharp sight picture. I gave it a 4 rather than a 5 because the eye relief is a little short, other than that it is a good scope. I have this one on a rim fire and ordered another one for a center fire.

I purchased this scope for use on a center fire rifle , reading most of the prior reviews re: use on a rim fire rifle , must agree with them. I have fired 20 rounds of 30 caliber and its holding zero currently. However, at 100 yards on 9x view of target is fuzzy . Lower power clears some of that up but now point of aim is off slightly. I expected that a $30.00 scope would have problems , my suggestion is mount and sight it in , remove it pack it in box and retain it as a back up scope when you expect some rough use on your hunt.

This is an excellent scope for the price range. It's crystal clear, and I love the P4 reticle. I didn't want an illuminated mil-dot scope because in my mind that was just another thing that could fail. Also, I didn't want to fool around with batteries. However, I was wanting a mil-dot scope so that I could adjust my aiming consistently at long range. Then I noticed this scope, and after reading about the P4 reticle, I realized that this one would be perfect. The only drawback I noticed is that the manual would have been more helpful if it were made specifically for this scope model, instead of a generic NCStar scope manual. The manual seemed to suggest that the scope had a focusing ring on the eyepiece, and I did notice a ring, but I was unable to turn the ring by hand. I wasn't sure if the focusing ring was a feature on all scope models or just some models. Initially I was disappointed because it seemed that the higher magnifications were out of focus, but then I realized that I was using the high magnification for a target that was too close. 5x-9x magnification will be in focus if the target is more than about 60 feet away. There's really no need to use such high magnification at less than 60 feet anyway. Again, I am highly pleased with the scope overall.Read full review

Clear lenses with a good eye relief and great cross hairs make this a great scope for the price. The focus adjustment is a bit finicky but works well enough. I prefer thumb adjustable turrets but the capped turrets are simple enough to make fast adjustments. The turret click is audible and firm but not too tight. It appears to be well constructed with a great finish. It seems to hold zero good on my tu tu three but that observation is only after 100 rounds or so. Time will tell. I put one on my sons 3 fity legend and so far so good. This scope is probably best suited for rim fire rifles but it serves my purpose for now. The price is hard to beat considering the quality of the product. Overall I would recommend this to anyone on a budget looking for a good scope.

It's a good scope, but has a short eye relief. My fault, I should have noticed that. Deffinately not for a large rifle. Bought it for a Savage 99, .308. Well worth the money on a .22lr.
