The content of the book is good for when starting potty training. It shows what the applicable body parts are and the story was interesting to my toddler. The progression of the potty training process in the book is great. The book length is a perfect length also. However, the way it is written is funny/akward reading aloud. I change the way it is read when I read it to my toddler but keep the content the same. Therefore it is not read exactly the same to him every time so he can't memorize it like he likes to do with books. But the book does serve its purpose.

Potty training can be tough. Learning to use the potty is often a lengthy process, testing the patience of both parent and child. When success finally comes-and it will come in time, without pressure, it enhances the child's confidence and pride. He has taken another step toward independence. He sat on the potty as a little child and got up feeling ten-feet tall. This book came in very handy for me when trying to potty train my son. It shows what a potty is, and what you need to do with it. It shows some funny suggestions like do you wear it on your head like a hat? or do you use it as a bird bath or flower pot. The little boys name in the book is Joshua and that is my sons name so it couldn't have worked out any better for me. He just really thought I was reading this story about him. The terms in the book that they use is wee wee and bottom. Joshuas mommy was so tired of changing diapers all the time. Joshua practiced sitting on the potty everyday. At first he didn't like it. But then one day.... He sat and sat and sat.... Guess what Joshua did? Poo Poo on the potty. It is just a great book to read to your potty training child. They love it as well as the parents love it. Here is the quote on back of the book: Just like you, Joshua has a body, and this body has many nice and useful parts: A head for thinking Eyes for seeing Ears for hearing A mouth to talk and eat with Hands for playing A pee-pee for making Wee-Wee Legs for walking and running A bottom for sitting and in it a little hole for making Poo-PooRead full review
Used this book with my son, now for my grandson. It's fun with all the important points your little one needs.

This is the best potty training book ever. We used it for our son, who is now 33 years old! He remembers the book fondly. It really helped with him, and now we have a grandson who is 1-1/2 who had refused to even try the potty. Now he's wearing "big boy" pants during the days, and he's asked for the book to be read for him over and over and over. When he goes potty, he says, "Just like me and Joshua!"
I loved this book. Mine came from Books-A-Million and came with a little boy and the potty. We read the book till it almost wore out and still have the anatomically correct little boy. This book comes in a boys and girls version. It is a great help for potty training.
