I have four of the EkoBrew Elite branded V1 & V2 S/S K-cup for Keurig. Only the EkoBrew repeatedly works as advertised. I use the EkoBrew with a very thin paper filter. I think the EkoBrew Elite patent has run out. There are paper filters that are thin like tissue paper and thick like cup-cake liners. Be sure the thinnest and does not fall apart. I used the EkoBrew brand 100 count (expensive) and the GreenCo 300 count. They work best for me. There's a bunch of knock-off brands that's marketed as fill and save elite, stainless steel reusable K-cup refillable. They somewhat work to don't work at all. I have found that they're too thick so the k-cup latch on the Keurig machine will not turn the BREW light to blink and start brewing.

This K-Cup would be great if they filtered the coffee properly. They are a snap to clean and made very well. Unfortunately, to get the correct flavor out of the coffee, it has to be ground fine, that triples the time it takes to make a cup of coffee. If you don't need speed, they will work fine. I use my Keurig at my coffee shop so speed is necessary. I've tried several different grinds to get the flow correct. A course grind allows it to work as it should but then there is a major flavor loss. I'm back to using the Keurig brand K-cups, they work the best but are a pain to clean.

I have used other brands with paper filters that limited the amount of grounds and did a poor job of producing a decent strength. These allow more grounds to be used and does a better job of water distribution. A bit harder to “bang” out the grounds but worth it to get an acceptable cup of coffee.

I’ve tried a few different types and really like the way his one works. Drains from the bottom and seems to brew a richer cup of coffee. Stainless steel is easy to rinse out.

buyer beware..the original elite model has a cone shaped plastic insert on the inner top. this spreads the water through out the grinds.some have just a hole and may clog the needle Since i always use filters, i enlarged 12 of the bottom holes to 1/16.it speeds up the flow of the brewed coffee and prevents backups. Now its a much better product than the plastic ones..
