I bought the CliffsNotes of several books and plays because I am home schooling my children. I studied the classics and believe I remember most of the symbolism and important points of discussion. None the less, what a great aid to have on hand! CliffsNotes are no replacement for reading a book, but they can certainly help you discuss one more intelligently and prepare for a literature final exam (how I used them in college). Usually when writing a review one would rate the individual product, but CliffsNotes are what they are. They are all great aids, not meant to replace the original work. Talking about the technique an author used to create an effect is not the same as allowing an author to take you to another place. Nor do summaries (provided for each chapter) tell all the details that make the story, well, a classic! Happy reading!Read full review
